Strawberry Peach Sweet Tea Julep Pitcher

G+

Strawberry Peach Sweet Tea Julep Pitcher. Well, maybe not at all, but I mean, come on? This cocktail started the Southern fun summer with hints of tea, sweet peach, lemon, mint, and plenty of bourbon. I've had this fun cocktail on my books now since the Kentucky Derby, which was the 5th, so yeah, sort of time. Originally I was going to share this drink on Derby Day, but with all the fresh peach flavors going on I decided to save this one for the summer.

As we see the 4th of July is just a little over a week away, and I knew that the time had finally come right to share this cocktail! Long and hot days, we hope sunny, and frankly this is a refreshing summer drink perfection... Whether it's to celebrate the 4th or just a cocktail this afternoon, this one might just become your new favorite.

And you know what I really love about this beautiful sweet tea julep? It's a pitcher style, meaning you literally add all the ingredients to one pitcher, stir it and you're done. Nothing fancy, no fuss, you'll have cocktails to rally. You can allow the mixture to sit in the fridge for a few days before the service. The longer the fruit sits in cocktail mix, the more flavor the fruits will soak up... How cool is that sound? Trust me, it's good.

This also means that this is the perfect cocktail for fun! - Love when things are easy and deliver friendly!

If you are having trouble finding fresh peach juice, simply blend 1 cup of mature peach, fresh with about 1 cup of water. You can then strain the juice through a fine sieve network or just use it as it is. Either it will work great! Also, the very best non-sweet cocktail I found is that with every fresh fruit going on in this drink that I didn't need a lot of dessert. Make sure you taste your pre-service drink and sweeten your liking.

Finally, if you want your top with a little juice, I think adding sparkling water or even ginger ale would be extra tasty.
